What is “IML”/In mould labeling ?

The IML label is placed in a mold.

Then inject the molten PP to the mold.It fuses withthe label, While curing, takes the shape of mold.Effect: label and injection product become one.

Iml is mainly used for blow molding and injection molding products of materials such as PP, PE, PET, etc. The specific process is: before blow molding and injection molding, place the printed film label into the blow molding and injection molding cavity. When the mold is closed for blowing and injection, the special adhesive on the label inside the film melts due to the high temperature and pressure inside the mold, and melts into one with the surface of the bottle or injection molded part. After the mold is opened, a beautifully printed bottle or injection molded part is completed in one go.
